Mountains

The terrain does not negotiate.

Steep grades. Bad weather. Solitude. Fatigue. Preparation. Failure. Recovery. Decisions that matter because consequence is close.

MountainsJudgment under real conditions

The mountain changes. The standard holds.

The stories here are about what the terrain required—not collecting summit names.

The View Is Earned

The landscape feels different after the work required to reach it. Effort changes the meaning of the view.

Weather Makes Art

Fog compresses the world and makes every visible detail matter more.

Keep Moving

Pace, terrain, fatigue, and judgment turn an ordinary trail into a real field test.

A beautiful mountain. Harsh conditions. One fall that changed everything.

I leave the mountain unnamed on purpose. The story is not about attaching tragedy to a beautiful place. It is about snow, terrain, risk, a serious fall, injury, recovery, and the recalibration that followed.

The important part was never the mountain's name. It was what happened after I hit the ground—and what it took to come back.
